Version 1.0 · Effective: August 31, 2026
This page explains, in plain language, how Jersium protects people in the United Kingdom from illegal and harmful content, how to report something that worries you, and what happens if we remove something. It is written so that anyone — including younger readers who may view public pages — can understand it. It works together with our Terms of Service and User Content Rules, which contain the full rules.
1. What Jersium is, and who it is for
Jersium is a marketplace and community for sports jerseys. People buy and sell jerseys, show their collections, and talk about them.
Jersium accounts are for adults only. You must be at least 18 to create an account, buy, sell, or post anything. But some pages on Jersium — like listings and public collections — can be seen by anyone on the internet without an account, including people under 18. Because of that, we take care about what can appear on those pages, and this statement explains the protections that apply.
2. How we protect everyone from illegal content
Some things are against the law and are never allowed on Jersium. This includes, among other things: content connected with child sexual abuse or exploitation; terrorism; fraud and scams; threats, harassment, and stalking; content that stirs up hatred against people because of who they are; sharing intimate images of someone without their consent; and selling illegal, stolen, or counterfeit goods.
Here is what we do about illegal content:
- Rules. Our User Content Rules ban all of it, everywhere on Jersium — in listings, photos, videos, comments, forums, reviews, and messages.
- Checks. We use a mix of automated tools and trained people to find and review content that may break the rules or the law — and every listing, photo, video, comment, and profile has a Report option, so anyone can point us to something we should look at (see section 4).
- Action. When we find illegal content, we remove it quickly. We may also restrict or close the account responsible, keep evidence, and report the matter to the police or other authorities where appropriate.
- Design. Selling on Jersium requires identity checks, every parcel must be tracked, and payments run through a regulated payment provider — all of which makes Jersium a hard place to commit fraud.
3. How we protect children from harmful content
Even though under-18s cannot have accounts, they may see public pages. So, on top of banning illegal content, our rules do not allow content that could seriously harm young people, anywhere on the platform:
- No pornography. Pornographic content is completely banned on Jersium, in every feature, with no exceptions.
- No content encouraging self-harm. Content that promotes or gives instructions for suicide, self-harm, or eating disorders is banned.
- No dangerous challenges. Content encouraging dangerous challenges or stunts that could seriously hurt someone is banned.
- No bullying or hate. Harassment, bullying, threats, and hateful content are banned.
General User Chat is available only between registered adult Account holders. Guest Buyers do not have access to general User Chat, but may use a secure, Order-specific messaging channel for a purchase made through Guest Checkout. Our moderation and reporting rules apply to those transaction messages too.
4. How to report something — no account needed
If you see anything on Jersium that worries you — something that looks illegal, unsafe, hateful, sexual, dangerous, or just wrong — please tell us. Anyone can report content, including visitors without an account.
- Use the Report button shown on listings, photos, videos, comments, profiles, and other content; or
- Use the reporting form in our Help Centre or Legal area; or
- Email us at [email protected].
Tell us what you saw and where (a link helps). You can report without giving your name, although contact details help us follow up. If a child is in immediate danger, contact the police first.
We review reports carefully, prioritise the serious ones, and take action where the rules or the law are broken. If you gave us contact details, we will tell you the outcome where the law requires it.
5. What happens when we remove something — and how to complain
Where Jersium removes content or restricts an Account, Jersium gives the person concerned notice of the action and reasons, together with a Decision ID, unless Jersium is legally prevented from giving notice or notification can lawfully be omitted.
If you think we got a decision wrong — whether we removed your content, restricted your Account, or decided not to act on your report — you can complain:
- Use the Request review link in the notice we sent you, or contact Support and choose "Moderation decision review", quoting your Decision ID where one was provided; or
- If you reported something and disagree with the outcome, reply through the same reporting channel.
A person — not just a computer — looks at every complaint. We may confirm, change, or reverse the decision, and we will tell you the outcome where appropriate and legally permitted. The notice we send you says how long you have to complain. Complaining is free.
If you are still unhappy, you can use the courts or, where available, an out-of-court dispute body. Nothing in this statement takes away rights you have under the law.
6. Who we answer to
Jersium's online-safety duties in the UK are overseen by Ofcom, the UK communications regulator. We keep records of how we assess and manage the risks described here, and we review our protections as the platform and the law develop.
