Version 1.0 · Effective: August 31, 2026 Cookies, local storage, similar technologies, and cookie choices
1. Purpose and scope
This Cookie Policy explains how Jersium uses cookies, local storage, pixels, tags, SDKs, device identifiers, and similar technologies on or through the Platform. It applies when a User, Guest, visitor, Buyer, Seller, reporter, or other person accesses or uses Jersium through a website, app, email, embedded feature, or other digital service where these technologies are used.
This Cookie Policy is the primary policy for cookie-specific transparency, cookie categories, cookie choices, and similar storage or access technologies. The Privacy Policy explains how Jersium processes personal data more generally. Mandatory privacy and consumer rights always apply.
2. Who operates Jersium
Jersium is operated by TimChief Ventures P.S.A., Meteorologów 13/29, 40-526 Katowice, Poland (KRS 0001077591 · NIP 9542863191 · VAT PL9542863191). Privacy and cookie requests: [email protected].
3. What cookies and similar technologies are
Cookies are small files or identifiers stored on a device when a person visits or uses a digital service. Similar technologies may store information on a device, access information already stored on a device, or recognise a device, browser, app, session, or interaction in another way. These include browser cookies (session and persistent), local and session storage, app storage, pixels, tags, scripts, tracking links, web beacons, measurement tools, SDKs, device and advertising identifiers, and security, fraud-prevention, logging, and diagnostic technologies. This Policy uses "cookies" as shorthand for all of these unless the context requires otherwise.
4. How Jersium uses cookies and the legal framework
Jersium may use cookies to operate the Platform, keep Accounts secure, remember choices, support checkout, prevent fraud, measure performance, improve features, provide support, send or measure communications, and show relevant content or marketing where allowed.
In the EEA, storing information on a device or accessing information already stored there requires consent under applicable electronic-communications rules unless the storage or access is strictly necessary to provide a service the user requested or another exemption applies. In the United Kingdom, equivalent storage and access rules apply under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR). Jersium does not use non-essential cookies where such consent is required unless the relevant consent has been given. Consent for device storage or access is separate from the lawful basis required for any subsequent processing of personal data under data-protection law.
In the United States, applicable federal and state privacy laws may give Users rights to opt out of certain sale or sharing of personal information, targeted advertising, profiling, or similar processing. Where those rights apply, Jersium provides the required controls and honours recognised universal opt-out signals where required by law. The current controls available for the User's region are shown in Cookie Settings and the Privacy Policy.
5. Strictly necessary cookies
Strictly necessary cookies provide core Platform functions requested by the user or needed to operate the service securely, and may be placed without consent where applicable law allows. They may support: login, authentication, session continuity, account security, and fraud prevention; cart, checkout, payment flow, order flow, seller tools, return flow, and support-flow continuity; cookie choices, language, region, security, and accessibility settings needed to provide the requested service; load balancing, error handling, reliability, abuse prevention, and diagnostics; and legal, compliance, safety, or security functions. If strictly necessary cookies are blocked through browser or device settings, some Platform features may not work.
6. Preference and functional cookies
Preference and functional cookies remember choices or provide enhanced features: language, region, display preferences, saved settings, interface choices, remembered form state, support widgets, and accessibility preferences. Some are strictly necessary where needed to provide a requested feature; others are used only with consent where consent is required.
7. Analytics and performance cookies
Analytics and performance cookies help Jersium understand how people use the Platform, detect errors, measure feature performance, improve user experience, test changes, and understand whether content or campaigns are effective. Analytics may be aggregated, pseudonymous, or provider-based. Where analytics cookies are not strictly necessary and consent is required, Jersium does not use them without that consent.
8. Marketing, advertising, and social cookies
Marketing, advertising, and social cookies may measure campaigns, limit repeated messages, personalise promotional content, understand referrals, support social-media integrations, or show advertising, where those features are enabled. Where device storage or access requires consent, Jersium uses these technologies only after that consent has been given. Any subsequent processing of personal data must also have a lawful basis under applicable data-protection law. If optional marketing technologies are rejected, Jersium content and advertisements may still appear but may be less relevant or less measurable.
9. Security, fraud-prevention, and marketplace-integrity technologies
Jersium may use cookies and similar technologies to protect accounts, transactions, seller tools, checkout, payment flows, reports, User Content, Digital Collection features, E-VER features, and other Platform areas against misuse — detecting suspicious sessions, bots, account compromise, fraud, chargeback risk, abuse, scraping, spam, counterfeit risk, or attempts to bypass Platform rules. Some of these are strictly necessary; others depend on the feature, provider, region, or legal basis described in the Privacy Policy.
10. Email and notification technologies
Jersium emails, notifications, and support messages may use pixels, links, or identifiers to deliver messages, maintain security, detect delivery issues, understand whether service messages were received, and measure optional marketing communications where allowed. Service, security, legal, transaction, and support communications may be measured where necessary to provide or protect the Platform; optional marketing communications follow the applicable consent, unsubscribe, and preference rules.
11. Third-party technologies
Jersium may use third-party providers for hosting, security, analytics, payments, identity verification, support, communications, fraud prevention, advertising, development, and diagnostics; these providers may set or access cookies when their technology is used on the Platform. Current provider information, where required, is shown in Cookie Settings or other Platform information. External websites, social platforms, payment pages, shipping tools, and provider pages linked from Jersium use their own cookies under their own policies; Jersium does not control cookies placed outside Jersium-controlled areas.
12. Cookie Settings and consent choices
Jersium provides Cookie Settings, a consent banner, account controls, footer links, or other appropriate controls to manage cookie and privacy choices. Where consent is required, you can accept, reject, or customise non-essential categories; rejecting must be as easy as accepting. Consent is a clear affirmative choice and may be withdrawn at any time through Cookie Settings or other controls, as easily as it was given.
Where applicable US privacy law provides an opt-out right rather than a consent requirement, Jersium provides the applicable opt-out control and honours recognised universal opt-out signals where required.
Withdrawing consent does not affect cookie use before withdrawal, strictly necessary cookies, or personal-data processing that lawfully continues on another basis. If you clear cookies, change device or browser, use private browsing, or block cookies, Jersium may not recognise previous choices and may ask again.
13. Browser, device, and platform controls
Most browsers and devices allow you to block, delete, or limit cookies; these controls are separate from Jersium Cookie Settings. Blocking or deleting cookies may affect login, security, cart, checkout, seller tools, language choices, consent records, and saved preferences. Browser or device controls may not disable all third-party technologies, SDKs, tracking links, pixels, or server-side processing; use Jersium Cookie Settings, provider controls, device settings, or unsubscribe links depending on the technology.
14. Cookie retention and current cookie details
Cookies may be session cookies that expire when a session ends, or persistent cookies that remain for a longer period unless deleted earlier. Lifetimes depend on the category, purpose, provider, browser, device, consent choice, and current configuration; Jersium keeps cookies only as long as needed for their purpose or as otherwise allowed by law. The current list of cookie categories, examples, providers, purposes, and retention information is shown in Cookie Settings or other Platform information and may be updated there without changing this Policy, unless mandatory law requires otherwise.
15. Relationship with personal data
Some cookies process personal data, such as online identifiers, IP addresses, device information, account identifiers, session data, preferences, and usage data. Where cookie data is personal data, Jersium processes it as described in the Privacy Policy. Jersium does not sell personal data to advertisers; if Jersium introduces advertising, tracking, or data-sharing features that require additional notice, consent, or opt-out mechanisms, Jersium will provide the required controls and information.
16. Changes and contact
Jersium may update this Cookie Policy to reflect legal requirements, Platform development, provider changes, consent-tool changes, security needs, or operational changes. Where required by applicable law, Jersium will provide notice of material changes or request consent where consent is required; Jersium will not treat continued use as consent where valid consent is legally required. Current cookie names, providers, lifetimes, and settings may change more frequently than this Policy and are maintained in Cookie Settings.
